Who we are
Specability LLC ("Specability", "we", "our") operates the website at specability.com. For questions about this policy or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@specability.com. Our mailing address is 1458 3rd Street, San Francisco, California 94158, USA.
What we collect and why
Contact-form submissions. When you send us an enquiry we collect the name, email address, company name, and message you provide. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, if an engagement follows, to maintain the relationship. The legal basis under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) is our legitimate interest in responding to genuine business enquiries; where required we will ask for your consent.
Standard server logs. Our hosting provider Cloudflare records IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, referring URLs, and page requests as part of normal infrastructure operation. These logs are retained for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes and are not used to profile you.
Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool. It sets no cookies, stores no personal data, and does not fingerprint visitors. It gives us aggregate counts (page views, referrers) only. There is no individual tracking.
What we do not collect
We do not run advertising networks, social-media trackers, or cross-site tracking scripts. We do not collect payment information (we have no e-commerce). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
How we share your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Cloudflare acts as our hosting and infrastructure provider and processes data on our behalf under Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum.
Resend is our transactional email delivery provider. When you submit the contact form, your submission is relayed through Resend solely to deliver your message to us. Resend does not use your data for its own marketing.
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our legal rights.
International data transfers
Specability LLC is a US entity. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or China, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required by GDPR, such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Where required under China's Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), we apply the transfer requirements of that law, including obtaining consent where needed.
Retention
We keep enquiry data only for as long as necessary to respond to your message and, if an engagement results, to maintain that engagement relationship. Server log data is retained for a short period (typically days to weeks) for security and diagnostic purposes and is then deleted or anonymised.
Cookies
We use only strictly-necessary technical mechanisms (such as a CSRF token if the contact form requires one). We set no advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless — it works without any cookie or local-storage identifier.
If you use a browser that automatically blocks cookies, your experience on this site will be unaffected.
Your rights — GDPR (EEA / UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate data; request erasure ("right to be forgotten") where retention is no longer justified; request restriction of processing; receive your data in a portable format; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@specability.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Your rights — California (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
To submit a request, email hello@specability.com.
Your rights — China (PIPL)
If you are in the People's Republic of China, the Personal Information Protection Law gives you the right to: be informed of and consent to processing; access a copy of your personal information; correct or supplement inaccurate information; request deletion; withdraw consent; and receive an explanation of our processing rules.
Where we transfer your personal information outside China, we comply with applicable cross-border data-transfer requirements under PIPL.
To exercise these rights, email hello@specability.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted here in advance where practicable.
